Law is needed in everyday life.
Law acts as a guardian against the inevitable anarchy that would engulf humanity.
It is important to realize that law does not only kick-in once someone has broken the law. Many of us are under the mistaken belief that the law is there to punish offenders only.
This is far from the truth.
Law is more concerned with protecting people than punishing them. It encompasses the element of fairness and justness.
Do you realize that from the time you wake up in the morning right through until you go to sleep at night, the law is constantly working for you?
Yes, law constantly surrounding us 24-7.
Everything we did in a whole day is revolving around the law.
Here's some examples :
# You are driving to your college. Can you exceed the speed limit? What happen if you exceeding the speed limit? Definitely, you will get summons if you get caught by the policemen because you were breaking the traffic law or you might knock off the pedestrian and eventually you will face a bigger problem such as breaking the Tort Law.
# When you went to the toilet, you were affected by Health Law where sanitation is necessary to prevent diseases.
# When you brushed your teeth, you were affected by Food and Drugs Law; where the fluoride in the toothpaste must not exceeding the legal limit.
# Even when we listened to the radio, we are bound to the Broadcasting Law where the authority prohibits the use of swearing on air.
Now, let's imagine if we live in a lawless society.
Where we are free to steal things, commit crimes, violent takes place, riots everywhere, major theft, money laundering, authorities fraud, property and public order crime and the list go on.
Ask yourself. Do we really want to live in such environment?
Do we really want to live with constant fear; afraid of the surrounding?
I dare to put a bet that no one even wants to live in such hostile environment.
This are some of the things why law is invented (;
